McGrath Amphitheatre Rules

McGrath Amp wants everyone to have a safe and fun time. So the staff has created the following rules and policies. Please take a moment to read and understand these rules. Failure to abide by them may result in expulsion from the venue without refund. If you have any questions about these policies you may contact the venue at 319-398-5211.

Alcohol Policy

Sales of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 are strictly prohibited. Patrons under 40 can expect to provide a valid driver’s license or identification card to purchase alcohol.

Animal Policy

Service Animals as defined by the American Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted. Venue staff asks that you leave all other furry (or scaly!) friends at home.

Bag Policy

Clear bags (must be smaller than 12″x6″x12″) or small, wallet-sized wristlets/clutches (must be smaller than 5″x8″) are permitted into the venue. All other types of bags are NOT permitted – including lawn chair bags. (The actual chair is permitted in GA Lawn section only.)

Diaper bags and medical bags are also permitted, but will be subject to search.

Backpacks, large bags, suitcases and sealed packages are not permitted.

Blanket and Lawn Chair Policy

For the McGrath Amphitheatre, blankets and lawn chairs are permitted in the General Admission Lawn (GA Lawn) section ONLY. Tickets in the Orchestra or Terrace sections will be pre-set with chairs. GA Pit tickets are standing room only.

Please note, chair bags (ie, the bags many lawn chairs are contained in) exceed the restricted bag size for the venue and will NOT be allowed – only the chair will be allowed.

Camera Policy

Video cameras, professional cameras with detachable or zoom lenses, GoPros, selfie sticks, and tripods are prohibited. Policies around point and shoot cameras vary by event and is up to the discretion of the tour or event organizer.

Some events will mandate absolutely no use of cameras or videos – including cell phone cameras/video. Staff will do their best to communicate these restrictions through the event listings.

Please consider the enjoyment of those around you when taking pictures/video – no one wants to watch a show through the cell phone of the person in front of them. Patrons may be asked to put cameras/cell phones away if it interferes with other patrons’ enjoyment of the event.

Child Ticket Policy

Most events require all patrons to have a ticket, however, this will vary by event and is up to the discretion of the tour or event organizer. Please contact the ticket office for information on child tickets for specific events.

Entry/Re-Entry Policy

For ticketed events, re-entry with the same ticket is not permitted.

Lost and Found Policy

During an event, lost items can be dropped off at Guest Services, where patrons may also check if they have lost an item. If you are looking for an item after the event has concluded, please contact the ticket office or front desk.
